Dear fellow soldiers of Christ,  Greetings in the name of Christ Jesus from the students and staff of BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan. We deeply appreciate the Lord for His grace and mercy toward us, and for your continued partnership in love.  Below is our report of activities for the month of July 2026.  OVERVIEW  * Report from students’ Teaching Practice (Practicum)  * Forthcoming programs  * Kidnapped Oyo State students and teachers rescued  * Voice of Truth International, Volume 127, ready for distribution  * Southwest School of Evangelism Ibadan — Kiddies Academy and College  REPORT FROM STUDENTS’ TEACHING PRACTICE (PRACTICUM)   Reports reaching us so far from students on Teaching Practice/Practicum show that the Lord has blessed their joint efforts with the local congregations where they are serving, with eleven (21) conversions and eighteen (18) restorations. To God be the glory and honor.  Lord willing, all Year 1 students are expected back on the school premises on August 01 in preparation for first-semester lectures, which will, by God’s grace, commence on Monday, August 03.   FORTHCOMING PROGRAMS  Lord willing, the BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan 24th Annual Bible Lectureship and Graduation Ceremony is coming up on August 19–21, 2026, honoring six Diploma, six Advanced Diploma, and five Degree graduates.  The three day spiritual exercise will feature general classes for men, women, and youth, along with football matches for BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan alumni.  Also, the third set of the BVBIN Degree Program will continue its studies from August 10 through 20. I, Brother Makinde Ebenezer, will teach Advanced Homiletics 2 in the first week, while Brother Ayobami Akanji (an elder serving at the Church of Christ, Iseri-Osun, Lagos) will teach Congregational Development 2 in the second week. Between 10 and 15 students are expected in this class.   KIDNAPPED OYO STUDENTS AND TEACHERS RESCUED AFTER JOINT SECURITY OPERATION   Troops of the Nigerian Army, in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Defence Headquarters, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services, the National Intelligence Agency, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, other security agencies, and local vigilantes, have successfully rescued the 44 pupils and teachers abducted from Ori-Ire Local Government Area of Oyo State on May 15, 2026.  The month-long, intelligence-led operation targeted the terrorist network responsible for the abduction, resulting in multiple arrests in Oyo State and other parts of the country. Sustained pressure on the kidnappers ultimately forced them to release all the victims unconditionally.  The rescued pupils and teachers are receiving medical attention at an undisclosed location and will be reunited with their families through the Oyo State Government. While the operation was carefully executed to ensure the victims’ safe rescue and to minimize collateral damage, some security personnel made the ultimate sacrifice.  The General Officer Commanding, 2 Division, Nigerian Army, Major General C.R. Nnebeife, commended the courage and professionalism of all participating security agencies, and expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR; Governor Seyi Makinde; the National Security Adviser; the Service Chiefs; the Inspector-General of Police; heads of security agencies; the media; and all Nigerians for their unwavering support.  Security agencies have assured the public that follow-up operations are ongoing to apprehend all those involved and to further strengthen security across the country.   VOICE OF TRUTH INTERNATIONAL READY FOR DISTRIBUTION   We deeply appreciate the Strickland Church of Christ for their continued support toward printing VOTI booklets in Nigeria and around the world. Voice of Truth International, Volume 127, is now ready for free distribution.   SOUTHWEST SCHOOL OF EVANGELISM IBADAN — KIDDIES ACADEMY AND COLLEGE   In line with the Oyo State Ministry of Education’s basic education schedule, SWKA and College will close for the third term on August 7, 2026. The next academic session, 2026/27, begins in the second week of September 2026.   SPECIAL ACCOMPLISHMENT: APPRECIATION FOR GOD’S MERCY AND LOVE To God be all the glory! As I mark 37 years in ministry, my heart is full of gratitude to the Lord and to you, His people, for the grace to serve.  In appreciation, I have published three books for free distribution:  1. Ethics of Finance  2. The Psychology of Christian Personality  3. Growing a Local Church  I deeply appreciate you all for your partnership, encouragement, and support, which made these possible. I sincerely thank you for walking with me on this journey, and I look forward to continued fellowship as we keep the fire burning for the Lord.   SPECIAL CHALLENGE  The school currently carries an outstanding debt of ₦8,110,000, resulting from financial difficulties experienced by some stakeholders, which affected their contributions toward the July–December 2025 training period at BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan.   ABOUT A STUDENT   Brother Owonikoko Taiwo John is one of our Year 2 students, a native of Osun State, born in Lagos State on May 7, 2003. He became a member of the Church of Christ in 2020 and was admitted into BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan on February 20, 2024. His mission after training is to further his education at a tertiary institution before becoming a minister of God in a congregation of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Western states of Nigeria.   CONCLUSION  We deeply appreciate you all for your wonderful service and commitment to serving the Lord and humanity. May the Lord continue to bless our work together, in Christ Jesus’ name. Amen.
