REPORT OF WORK-MAY, 2026
May the Grace and peace of Jesus Christ be multiplied to you all that are in Christ Jesus. Thank you for all your prayers and financial support you have generously provided to me to preach the Gospel in Nigeria. The World Bible School Abak Team reported a total of 23 new converts and for the month of April.
April 16, I hosted Christian Men Fellowship at Church of Christ, Ikot Akpabio where men from many congregations came and discussed various ways of Christian leadership.
In the month of May, four baptisms and two seminars were reported by the WBS Abak Team.
On May 3rd, we conducted a seminar at Church of Christ, Ikot Ekang, Abak. Inyene Samuel, student of Steve from Perry Church of Christ Ohio was baptized. That same day, May 3rd; I spoke at Church of Christ Mbak Nsit during the 5th anniversary of the Church and fund raising for the purchase of land for their worship hall.
May 1, I preached at the funeral of Late Sister Akon Emem Akpan, a devoted sister at Church of Christ Ikot Akpabio. May 16, more than four hundred women from various congregations in Abak came together at Church of Christ Ikot Akpabio and discussed the Word of God on the theme “Faithful Christian Women in the 21st Century.”
May 19-22, 2026, the Nigerian Christian Bible College Ukpom held annual preachers and Church Leaders seminar on the theme “The Sacred Echo, Reclaiming the Power of Narrative on the Pulpit.” I spoke on God, the strong teller and the Bible as a divine narrative. More than three hundred ministers and church leaders attended. It was a great time of fellowship, spiritual renewal and Bible studies among the community of Church workers.
Emaediong Aniekan Ntekpe, student of Patricia Duren of East Pointee Church requested for Baptism. Since he now lives in Akpabuyo in Cross River State, I requested for transportation money so as to meet him. Thank you Brother Chad who provided $100 which helped me to meet him and baptized him on May, 30.
For sometime now, I have been directing a team of staff from the Nigerian Christian Bible College Ukpom to congregations and individuals to donate money or materials for the completion of Male hostel at NCBC. We have good responses and the exercise will continue till August 14, the last day of NCBC lectureship.
I am still waiting to receive the two boxes of lessons sent by Sister Donna Goulding of Perry Church of Christ.
I am inviting you to make plans to attend the NCBC lectureship August 11-14, 2026.
Thank you and God bless you all.
Uyai S. Joshua.
