Dear brethren, family and friends,
We bring you greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are delighted to send you this update of May 2026. We are sincerely thankful to you for your ernest prayers and support without which all these would have not been possible, so thank you very much and we pray God richest blessings upon you, your family and the church there.
In the month of May, 78 completed lessons were received in our office at Ramsey-Bagwell Christian Schools and our ICT man Godwin Wilson will scan the completed lessons to the respective USA teachers next week. We followed up on six students in Ika area and had a wonderful time discussing the word of God with them. Although there was no baptism resulting from the follow-up, the seed has been planted, and God will give the increase according to His will.
I was privileged to worship with the campus congregation of the Federal University of Technology where my son serves as the church secretary and it was my pleasure to be given the opportunity to teach and preach. Brother Uwem George, the minister there is doing a wonderful job for our Lord evangelizing and edifying the students and staff brethren there. The main focus of this trip was providing lessons to train and equip the saints at the Campus Church of Christ there. May God bless each one of those who attended with health, faith, conviction, zeal and courage to go forth proclaiming the unsearchable riches of the gospel of Christ. Brethren, it is all a team effort as we work together as one in the body of Christ.
A total of seven baptisms were recorded within the month of May. I baptized two, Micah baptized two, Ememobong baptized one and Sunday Umoh( a preacher and a staff of Ramsey-Bagwell Christian Schools) baptized two. May God bless the Seven souls who submitted to Christ in baptism to grow to maturity in Christ.
The remains of the late brother Akanimo will be laid to rest on July 29. The police have concluded all investigation that led to the accident and asked that his remains be release from the morque for burial. Please remember the wife and the eight children in your daily prayers.
As I mentioned in my last update, our maiden Gospel lectureship comes up in November 2026. The theme of the Lectureship is, ” The Gospel of Christ”. Churches within and outside Etim Ekpo area as well as all the Staff and students of Ramsey-Bagwell Christian Schools will be in attendance as well. Preachers as well as student Preachers from both the Nigeria Christian Bible College and Nigeria Christian Institute will help in evangelizing the entire community through House to House evangelism as well as open Air evangelism. There are few needs that we will need your support. This range from acquisition of projector, 200 plastic seats, Audio system and procurement of two additional 2000 litres water tanks. Over 4000 copies of the book, ” In search of Christian” by Dr Roger Dickson will be distributed alongside other Bible study materials. We’ll be grateful if you can help with any of these needs.
The series of lessons we have for the second quarter on ” The Teachings of Jesus” will end this month. On Sunday June 14, I will be teaching on ” The Lord of Sabbath” from Matthew 12:1-8.
The church at Ibio Edem Urua is doing well with Utip Afangideh being so committed to Bible Teachings and edification. The church there is renovating their worship hall. Micah Isaiah on the other hand is also working tirelessly to get the true gospel to the people of Ika who have strong beliefs in traditional religion as well as catholicism. I’ll be with them the end of June.
Thank you everyone for your prayers and financial support which make these works possible.
God bless all of His saints all over the world.
In Christian love,
Sekeme Ekaiko.
