ONE OF BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN’S INSTRUCTORS HAS GONE HOME:
With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Bro. Ebenezer Olugbenga Ojo, a devoted servant of God and esteemed instructor at BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan. After a brief illness, he has gone home to be with the Lord.
Bro. Ojo was a man of great wisdom, kindness, and unwavering faith. His life was dedicated to serving both God and his community, particularly through the education of children from less privileged backgrounds. As an evangelist, he faithfully ministered to the **Lord’s Church in Jago Town, Ona-Ara Local Government Area, Oyo State.
His journey of faith began in April 2015 when he was converted to the body of Christ through the Voice of Truth International booklet. Before embracing the truth, he had been a denominational pastor. Seeking a deeper understanding of God’s Word, he pursued theological studies at Bear Valley Bible Institute Nigeria and Southwest School of Evangelism (BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan) from 2016 to 2019, earning both Diploma and Advanced Diploma certificates. At the time of his passing, he was also pursuing a BVBIN degree.
Bro. Ojo’s deep knowledge of the Scriptures, coupled with his steadfast faith, made him a respected spiritual leader. His words of wisdom and guidance touched the lives of many.
Born on May 25, 1960, he completed his earthly journey and received his final degree (RIP)on February 27, 2025. He is survived by his wife and three children.
May the Lord grant his family the strength to bear this loss and fill them with His peace that surpasses all understanding .

REPORT OF BEAR VALLEY BIBLE INSTITUTE NIGERIA & SOUTHWEST SCHOOL OF EVANGELISM EXTENSION AT SABO, SAGAMU , OGUN STATE ( SAGAMU STUDY CENTER):
First Quarter Report Of Activities (2025) :We give thanks to God for His abundant grace and for the opportunity to serve through the Bear Valley Bible Institute Nigeria and Southwest School of Evangelism (BVBIN & SWSE), Sagamu Study Center.
Convocation Ceremony :On January 9, 2025, the Sagamu Study Center held its convocation ceremony, officially declared open by the National Director of BVBIN Nigeria, Brother Ebenezer Makinde. The event was well attended by brethren, and the keynote lesson, “I Will Make You Fishers of Men,” was delivered by Brother Bode Olowe.
Students Enrollment: At the start of the academic session, 13 students enrolled for studies at the Sagamu Study Center .
Courses Taught: During this quarter, students undertook *three courses* over *12 class sessions.
1. “How Did We Get the Bible?” – Taught by *Brother Bode Olowe (Evangelist)*
2. “The Scheme of Redemption”– Taught by *Brother Samuel Olaegbe (Evangelist)*
3. “Old Testament Studies (Pentateuch)” – Taught by *Brother Samuel Oladokun (Evangelist)*
Conversions: By God’s grace, three baptisms took place during the first quarter of 2025:

Restoration: During this period, Brother Bode Olowe helped restore Brother Stephen Odoh to active faith.
Before this, Brother Odoh was known for his dedication to evangelism and encouraging fellow brethren. However, due to severe business losses, he became emotionally and spiritually distressed, leading to his withdrawal from the congregation. Through *counseling, prayers, and fellowship*, he has now returned to worship and is actively working towards rebuilding his livelihood to support his family.
In conclusion ,The Bear Valley Bible Institute Nigeria and Southwest School of Evangelism Ibadan – Extension in Sagamu , Ogun State continues to make a significant impact in the lives of her students and the local congregation by training dedicated individuals to serve in the Church.
We remain committed to this mission and pray for God’s continued guidance and strength.
SPECIAL CHALLENGES:
The school (BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN) urgently requires the sum of N6,000,000($4,000) to address two critical financial obligations.
Firstly, the funds are needed to repay a loan by the first week of February, which was taken to finance the 23rd Annual Leadership Seminar scheduled for February 4th to 6th. Secondly, the amount will also support the school’s operational expenses until the end of February 2025.
This financial strain is a result of the recent expenditure on the installation of solar panels and lighting systems within the school community, which was completed in October 2024 and the loan paid on January 2025.
We humbly appeal to our beloved brethren for financial assistance to help repay this debt and continue the good work the Lord has entrusted to us.
NOTICE: BVBIN DEGREE PROGRAM SUSPENDED
Due to the low response from students regarding the upcoming classes scheduled for April 7-18 at BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN, Butu-London in Butubutu village (via Badeku Jago, Ibadan), the school management has decided to postpone the program indefinitely until students are prepared to continue their studies.
We regret any inconvenience this may cause to the dedicated students who remain committed to their education.
Thank you for your service in the Lord.
WHY IS BVBIN NEEDED IN IJEBU LAND?
AND UPCOMING EVENT IN IJEBU LAND – APRIL/MAY 2025
The first Church of Christ was planted in Lagos State between 1959 and 1960, from where it spread to other western states of Nigeria. However, Ijebu Land has remained one of the most resistant areas in Yoruba land. Over the years, only two or three congregations have managed to withstand the challenges in the region.
By God’s grace, about 20 years ago, we began working with one of our graduates, Bro. Emmanuel Oji, a farmer who relocated from Lagos to Ijebu-Remo in Ogun State after his business collapsed. Together with some brethren from Ibadan—natives of Ijebu Land who had studied with us at SWSE-Ibadan in 2005—we evangelized his farm area, leading to the establishment of a Lord’s church.
Today, through continued efforts, the Lord’s church in Ijebu Land has grown from three congregations to about ten. Additionally, an extension program has been established to strengthen preachers in the area and further the Lord’s kingdom.
Lord willing, BVBIN & SWSE-Ibadan will partner with our graduates and four congregations in Ijebu Land for a House-to-House Evangelism Outreach and Open-Air Bible Lectureship from April 28 to May 3, 2025.
Our sole purpose is to advance the Lord’s work. If you have any questions about our mission and conviction, I encourage you to reach out to our dear friends, Bro. Doug Wheeler, Bro. Bill Pennell ,Bro . Joel Coppinger, Bro. Ron Potteberg, Bro. Rod Rutherford, Bro. Steve Ashcraft, Bro. Jerry Bates, Bro. Richard Renfro, Bro. Chad Wagner and Bro. Keith Kasarjian.
My vision remains steadfast—to do my best in extending the Lord’s kingdom both within and beyond Yoruba Land.
Thank you for your partnership and service.
With love .
STUDENT PROFILE:
Bro. Oladipupo David Ayomikun was born on December 21, 2006, in Abuja. His father was from Osun State, while his mother hails from Kogi State. Sadly, he lost his father during his teenage years.
Since 2020, he has been one of the eight students benefiting from the Gahana-Jefferson Church of Christ scholarship program. On August 4, 2021, while in Senior Secondary School, he embraced the Christian faith and was baptized.
In 2023, immediately after completing his Senior Secondary School* examinations, he gained admission into the Ministerial Department of BVBIN & SWSE-IBADAN. His primary mission at the institution is to share the goodness of God, particularly with children from underprivileged backgrounds. This stems from his own family’s experience—his mother converted from Jehovah’s Witnesses to the Lord’s Church in 2018, and through God’s grace, he was awarded a scholarship for both his junior and secondary school education.
Looking ahead, Bro. Oladipupo aspires to become a gospel preacher after completing his tertiary education.
SOUTHWEST SCHOOL OF EVANGELISM: SOUTHWEST KIDDIES ACADEMY: The Southwest Kiddies Academy is a non-profit organization providing education in a godly and disciplined environment for underprivileged children.

We humbly appeal for your support. Every contribution, big or small, helps us partner in this ministry.
Special thanks to:

We welcome more stakeholders and partnerships in training future leaders for the church and nation.
Those willing to be part of this ministry should contact Bro. Chad Wagner, SWSE Patron and BVBIN International Director.
