I wish to use this opportunity to share with you a brief update about the activities of Ramsey-Bagwell Christian schools for the past term and hope that you will appreciate it and pray for more progress in the schools.
The 2023/24 academic session ended on August 2 where we also held the maiden Parents Day celebration & Graduation ceremony. We had a total of 150 pupils last session and graduated 13 pupils from the Nursery School section to the Basic (Primary) section. It was quite an epoch-making event with several parents and invited Guests in attendance. Certificate of Nursery school completion were given to the 13 pupils in Nursery 2.
School will resume for the 2024/2025 academic session on September 16 (according to the Ministry of Education Calendar) and we will be adding the 5th grade (Basic 5) and Junior Secondary 1 & 2. Unfortunately, we are yet to put a roof on the additional classrooms we constructed due to paucity of funds, but we pray and hope that the Lord opens more doors for funds to come in to enable us to complete the roofing and subsequent internal and external finishing works.
On our own, we’ve been able to procure some wood from some timber trees we bought a year ago. The workman has sawn them and all of them brought to the site, but it will not be enough. Again, we need 10 bundles of roofing sheets, 30 wooden benches, etc.
Bible Studies have been an integral part of the school and is one of our core subjects, which is compulsory, for every students. We also offer World Bible School (WBS) correspondence lessons to all the pupils from the 5th grade. Daily chapel service is one of our priorities as we all gather to sing, study the Bible, and pray before we begin academic activities for the day. We are so thankful to God about the establishment of this Christian school, which we believe will positively and spiritually influence the lives of these young minds and those we seek to bring to Christ.
