Dear Brethren,
This report will cover the burial of my late mother, Dorris Alu Egwu, and the Benevolent works by Dorris -Chad Mission Center, Nigeria through your kind support.
1. It is worthy to note that my late mother was buried as a faithful Christian by the church to the glory of God on 12th April, 2024. It was an opportunity that my late mother passed the message of Christ to the gathered crowd through a minister of God, Bro. Chidi Chibunna in the absence of Bro. Imoh Atakpa. The crowd picture is not yet available. See the interment picture attached.
2. Goodness Nwachukwu, a disabled student of Dorris-Chad International Christian Academy, was a recipient of the wheelchair replacement fund and tuition free under the care of Dorris-Chad Mission school. These things were kindly provided for her. Attached here are the pictures of the wheelchair, Goodness, myself, her mother and two witnesses.
3. The month of March payment to 16 widows in the Dorris-Chad campus church who are desperately in need ($5 per person) was made. One of the widows had a tragic accident that caused one of her legs to be cut off. I visited her at the Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, and paid her for the month of March and extra for her one leg challenge. See the pictures of the cross section of the widows and the widow at the hospital.
4. The economic situation in Nigeria is so tough that the helpless widows, orphans and less privileged Nigerians are dying from hunger. We feel for many around us at the Dorris-Chad Mission Center. We gathered a good number of widows and elderly women in the community to feed and share available cash for a relief of hunger. We need prayers for the poor in Nigeria. The rich and the leadership in Nigeria talk about the poor masses in the budget just to enrich themselves the more. We feel the pains and the pains motivate our actions with any available funds in our possession. See just one or two pictures for your perusal.
Our next report will cover other areas of our mission work such as the Children school, World Bible School (WBS), and our proposed evangelism plan in the month of May.
We appreciate our donors and supporters for the good work at Dorris-Chad Mission Center and the survival of my dear family.
Note that Dorris, my daughter, is doing well. She has recovered from her latest crisis.
We pray for you all daily. May God grant you all good health and your honest desires in Jesus’ name, Amen!
Rejoice Always,
Reuben Uche Egwu.
