Calvary greetings in Jesus’ name- Amen. Abatete Evangelism and Church Planting sponsored by Henry Street Church of Christ and School of Biblical Studies (SBS), Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria, started on Wednesday, 15th February and ended on Sunday, 18th February, 2024. Over 60 Christian Brothers and Sisters came for the Gospel campaign. The end results were:
Three Baptisms, 2 Christian Families identified as they placed their membership with the newly planted church, planting of the Church of Christ Abatete and 50 prospects identified and engaged in Bible studies. To God Be The Glory.
Furthermore, on Sunday, 17th March, 2024, a Northern Nigerian Security personnel (predominantly Muslims), Timothy Sule, posted at Abatete, was baptized to the glory of God.
Our Prospects:
– We want to organize another 4 days citywide evangelical campaign
– Student Preachers from SBS, Awka, Anambra State, are assisting us in our weekly outreach program
– Our market evangelism movement is gathering momentum since Abatete is predominantly traders,
– We have gotten permission to visit schools to enroll teachers and students via World Bible School (WBS) and other Christian correspondence courses, etc.
Our Challenges:
– We need plenty Christian literature like Bibles, Tracts, Hymns, etc.
– We will to create a sink borehole ( Well – Drinking water) @ the market square/community civic center
– We need to get our permanent site
– We need your prayers and financial supports for our 4 day Abatete Citywide Evangelical Gospel campaign
