I accept the challenge of preaching the Gospel to all nooks and crannies in my reach in order to populate heaven calling men and women into obedience of the Gospel (2 Thess.2:12). Through this noble task, many have turned to Christ/converted and the Church is strengthened/edified through our various programs.
In October 2023, l had many outings. My Team, Cooperate Evangelism Outreach, organized a two days evangelism workshop where two hundred and fifty Christians attended with motivational topics discussed for our spiritual upliftment. We also organized a 3-day evangelism/Church planting effort on October 20-22, which I am the chairman of the Church planting committee. The church was planted on 22nd October. As of today, according to available records, their attendance last Sunday was (19) nineteen baptized members; excluding children. The place is called Umuobasi in Osisioma Local Government areas of Abia State.
Some other Churches of Christ invited me to preach during funerals in their churches and during their evangelism/Lectureship, which l declared the whole counsel of God; the way of Salvation. l also preached during their open-air efforts. Within the period in review, the church experienced a bountiful harvest in various congregations. Furthermore, in November 2023, as the dry season has set in, Congregations organized evangelism and lectureship efforts. These Congregations invited me to participate in different capacities. They also came here to collect materials for their evangelism efforts from Mission Printing. My wife and I do not hesitate to answer these clarion calls. Four congregations invited me to preach during their open-air programs. I preached two funeral sermons during the month. It is also in this month, l escaped death from the hands of hoodlums who robbed me while l was going to minister at the church we planted last year. I was the Chairman that planted the Church. On 19th November evening, immediately, l came down from a bus I boarded and three young men came out from bush and started hitting, boxing, and kicking me. They collected my bag which contains my study Bible, clothes, prepared notes of lesson, ATM card, ten thousand Naira and above all, my newly purchased phone. I was taken to the hospital by a good Samaritan. I spent much to pay my hospital bills, because of wounds sustained, bruises and body pains. However, this is one of the cross l bear though so bitter.
More so, in December, we are restless as l attend many programs. Remember, some of these programs recorded baptisms. I can still remember in October, seven baptisms at Umuobasi, at Umuikeaba and after three days of a youth program, six souls were added to the church there.
From October till this December, it was recorded a bountiful harvest. However, I am sorry I lost my phone during the horror where these pictures are captured.
I must thank you for engraving me for an impressive outing. The horrible experience cause me much expenses, placed my pocket on Red, so dry, the churches that invites doesn’t compliment the transportation money fully. l sacrifice with hope.
I hope you will touch my life financially next year.
In this local Church where am serving, we had four baptisms. We give God all the glory.
Remain blessed.
Brother Alozie Uzoma.
