From Herbert Nwankwo Chukwu, Mbanabo Mission, Enugu State, Nigeria to all at Johnson Church of Christ; beloved of God called to be saints. Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you who enabled Mbanabo Mission to take up the Gospel of Our Lord Christ into many towns in Enugu and other States in Nigeria.
Below is the Mission Work Report for the third quarter of 2024:
1. EVANGELISM WORK
House-to-house preaching work done in many homes in six villages and two community evangelism efforts completed in two villages; one at Obiagu Oduma Town and another one at Ohuma Agu in Amoli town.
The total number of people was over 50 men, women and children gathered to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These efforts were completed in a village hall and in a village square just like that of the Gospel at Athens in Alepegus square (Acts 17: 22-23). Students of Bear Valley Bible School and the school of Bible studies in Ebonyi State are much involved in Evangelism in this quarter of the year.
This evangelism work gave us some prospects to follow up on and a few baptized souls.
2. BENEVOLENCE WORK
The bad economic situation has resulted in poverty and famine like the Christians in Jerusalem of the Bible. That situation made the Apostle Paul begin to collect money to help them (Romans 16: 25-31). The $2000 you sent for benevolence work has boosted the mission’s benevolence work as over 120 people have benefited from the fund. The Renovation of our sister’s house, 6 laptops for supporting the graduating students from Bible school, supporting a Bible student who had a motor accident, supporting old men and women in nine of our churches and outside the church were activities funded by the money sent. Brother Friday Ali and Brother John Jimmy helped in seeing that this money reached people in their areas. Brother Onwuka and Brother Paul helped reach students in their schools.
We pray that the God, who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion and through us, your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God. We continue to say thanks be to God for enabling us to do these great works.
3. BUILD PROJECT
Land purchasing and building a house to worship for new planted congregations is the plan for the evangelism works in Mbanabo Mission. This is to enable the new congregations to have a strong foundation to be in the village or town where they are established.
The mission Building Projects are ongoing in nine congregations. The Amoli Church building is now completed.
Efeche Town Church is now 90% in completion. The remaining works to be done includes the ceiling and flooring. I hope to do this when I receive the money you sent for Efeche Church Building work from Brother Chad. The work on this Efeche Church Building started in the year 2021 when I noticed the church was growing in number more than the first building they had.
Thank God. The building will be completed as soon as I receive the money you sent. Work on other church buildings will benefit from the money as their own building work will be receiving support. God has blessed Efeche Church through you and Brother Isaac Idoko who has helped us put a roof on the building, fixed windows and doors and plastered the house in and out with cement. We thank you and pray that God reward your good works. Amen.
Now that the churches are suffering in a hard economy, please continue to pray for God’s sufficient grace to enable us to have the strength and power of Christ to overcome the bad economic situation
Yours Brother,
Herbert Nwankwo Chukwu

Great job, may God continue to endure you with understanding and strength to do more in Jesus name amen.
