2024 IN REVIEW REGARDING MY WORK IN PORT HARCOURT, NIGERIA, WEST AFRICA
The year 2024 has been a year with much responsibilities on me. The year in review brings me to 35 years of gospel preaching, soul winning and pulpit work. I recall that I graduated from the Nigerian Christian Bible College Ukpom Abak, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria in August, 1989 with an award of the best academic student of the year 1989. After my graduation, I left the school to the gospel field to preach the gospel and I am doing that till this day. From August, 1989 to August, 2024 makes it 35 years of selfless service to God and mankind.
As a matter of fact, from January to March, 2024, I was fully engaged in evangelism activities, teaching and preaching in the pulpit. In this year 2024, the students of Bear Valley Bible Institute in Port Harcourt and me had recorded 28 baptisms and 11 restorations.
In April to June 2024, I organized open-air and house-to-house evangelism efforts with my local congregation and also engaged in the activities of Bear Valley Bible Institute in Port Harcourt. I am the local Director of the school in Port Harcourt. My duties in the school are enormous; I participate in teaching courses such as: Acts of the Apostles, Marriage and family, Leadership, Missions, African Indigenous Religion, the book of Hebrews, 1,2 Peter, James and Jude. In addition to teaching the abovementioned courses, I supervise the other teachers, direct the school activities, collect, arrange and keep the student’s scores. These activities keep me on my toes and make me to be moving round the two centers to carry out my duties.
Furthermore, in July to September, 2024, my duties in my local congregation and in the school continued with great vigor. While leading the students to quarterly evangelism, I also continued with the teaching of the courses mentioned above and with my duty of directing the activities of the school.
Moreover, in the month of August, 2024, I was admitted to study for the Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Ministry at the West Nigeria College and school of Biblical studies (WNCC) Ogun State, Nigeria. While I am carrying out my regular duties, I am also studying for a degree in Christian Ministry. I am praying for good health and strength to continue with these numerous works in the Kingdom of God.
I appreciate your support and prayers for me and my family as the economy in my country Nigeria is undergoing a very difficult phase. The cost of living in Nigeria has soared so high. The value of our currency has depreciated. The burdens of transportation, food, and health care is heavier. I am requesting for increase of my quarterly support to enable me to continue to carry out my numerous jobs for the Lord as I mentioned above. Thank you so much for your support.
Report from Anthony Ejike Oluria. (Director BVBI Port Harcourt, Nigeria).
