REPORT OF WORK, AUGUST 2024
Dear Brethren,
The month of August always had a great number of baptisms because of the two preaching Bible Schools in Akwa Ibom State. The two preaching Schools are Nigerian Christian Bible College (NCBC) – Ukpom Abak and COAE Memorial Bible College at Ikot Usen, Ibiono, in Akwa Ibom State.
Their Annual Bible Lectureship and Bible Student Graduations always take place in the month of August.
The total number of baptisms we had in the month of August were 148 and 3 restorations.
This is what took place in August, 2024.
• At Odukpani, Cross River State, we had 17 baptisms and 3 restorations.
• At 144 Church of Christ Aka Road, Uyo, there were 4 baptisms.
• Church of Christ, Ikot Abasi in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area (L.G.A.) had 1 baptism
• There was 1 baptism at Ikot Ekpeyak Ikono, Uyo L.G.A.
• Church of Christ, Ibesit Ekoi, Oruk Anam L.G.A had 3 baptisms.
• There were 2 baptisms at Ikot Udobong in Etim Ekpo L.G.A.
• Ikot Oku Ikono, Uyo L.G.A., had 2 souls added to the Lord’s church.
• Central Church of Christ, Abak, brought 1 soul to Christ.
• 5 souls were brought to Christ at 18 Ebom Avenue Church of Christ, Abak.
• Ono community in Ibiono Local Government Area had 1 baptism.
• At Nkek Abak, Ukanafun L.G.A., 1 soul was brought to the Lord.
• 65 souls were baptized at the NCBC, Ukpom Abak, during their four-day Annual Lectureship.
• The four-day Youth Forum at Ikot Usen Ibiono had a total of 45 baptisms.
The poor economic situation of the country, hardships, and transportation problems that we are having cannot stop us from the work of Christ (Romans 8:35)!
May God help us to keep to His promise and stand by Him till the end of our lives (Matthew 28:18-20).
