Dear Brethren,
Greetings to you all from your brother Herbert Nwankwo Chukwu in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I do not have the need to tell you about the hard, evil story about my wonderful country Nigeria, which is now undergoing a lot of hardship, hunger, etc., because of evil leadership in our country. But let me request that you remember all the saints in Nigeria in your prayers. All the perilous things and evil things ongoing here now are proof that the Word of God is true (2 Timothy 3:1-7).
Brethren, not minding these hard times, the mission continued her evangelism work for the first quarter of the year, 2024.
Below is the mission work report for the 1st quarter of the year 2024:
Evangelism report from Igbo Eze North of Enugu State, Alamabro Local Government Area (LGA) in Kogi State and Awgu LGA in Enugu State.
A great quality Christian Assurance workshop was held in Enugu to teach of the importance of Christian education in church development; held on the 10th of February 2024.
One hundred medium sized Holy Bibles were given out to churches for them to give newly baptized Christians in memory of Brother Lee Pennington.
Open air evangelism and house-to-house teachings were held at Ette town, Effeche town, and Enugukpali in Kogi State for three weeks.
MISSION BUILDING PROJECTS
1. 6” x 6” x 18” size blocks, one thousand blocks in number, were molded to help Effeche Town Church who has overgrown their Church meeting place.
2. Amoli Town Church House Building now remains only painting and floor tiles and another parcel of land was bought for the church.
They now have a 124 feet long by 118 foot long width tract of land for her church building, preacher’s house, and other church activities.
We lost one soul to death in Amoli Town Church; named Brother Richard Okafor.
Mission Benevolence Work
This time, we tagged the work “Giving hope to the hopeless” as 22 widows and some aged people from the church and outside the church were given breakfast daily for six weeks at N200 naira per meal.
We have a sister whose building burned as she left for worship at Effeche Church. The mission has appealed to all our Churches in the mission to help the woman and plans are on the way to rebuild the house for the woman.
Brethren, I must sincerely thank you for enabling us to do these works we have done for the first quarter, 2024 ,and I say God bless you for your good works.
I am yours sincerely,
Brother Herbert Nwankwo Chukwu
